2012 was a fantastic, exciting and busy year for Enter CIC. When I look back on some of the projects I am simply amazed. I can’t quite believe how much we have accomplished in such a short period of time.
At the beginning of the year we had 67 young people participate in LAMDA exams and 100% passed with distinction we have participated in many community events and over 1500 school children participated in our Healthy Workshop Programme, we have developed links with West End Theatres and provided life changing work experience placements. Enter CIC wrote a brand new musical to celebrate North East traditions, which premiered at Sunderland Empire and to our delight, has a very promising future. We launched our volunteering programme and now have a wonderful dedicated group of people who give their time and energy to help Enter run an array of programmes for young people. In 2012 we also secured permanent premises for Enter and we launched the Arts Enabled programme, which caters for children with complex learning requirements. December was such a busy month and the young people were engaged in programmes until the 23rd December 2012!
As a company we have exceptionally high standards and anyone associated with us knows how hard everyone works to meet those standards. We have a wonderful team who ensure that the Enter vision is achieved. As a company we strive to keep moving forward ensuring that we provide free, or low cost unique and life changing opportunities for the young people of South County Durham.
Our work is possible because of all our supporters, our funders and the local community who back us not only financially, but provide constant encouragement and recognition of the work that Enter CIC completes in South County Durham. It is vitally important that we recognise and thank these people. We would like to thank Big Lottery for their first year of financial support. The Big Lottery funds the Aspiration Project which underpins everything that we do.The Aspiration Project is making a huge difference in South County Durham and we very much look forward to seeing how much more can be achieved in 2013.We would also like to thank our local Area Action Partnership (Four Together) for their support and Councillor David Farry and Councillor Brian Avery.
We have many funders to thank for their support during 2012 without them we simply couldn’t do what we are doing. Funding is vitally important to us and we strive hard to ensure that we have both monetary and in-kind contributions from all types of sources. This enables us to embark on new initiatives and to encourage young people to push their own boundaries and dare to dream and believe to achieve. A list of our current funders is featured on our 2012 video.
