On Saturday 29th March 2014, Enter CIC once again embarked on another educational visit to Darlington Civic Theatre to See ‘Tom’s Midnight Garden’ performed by Birmingham Stage.  We provided opportunities for fifty four people to see the new production.

Enter CIC are passionate about providing high quality theatre experiences. We feel it is important that our young people not only get to perform in productions, but that they get to witness first hand live theatre events. This is becoming increasingly important as many of our students are currently auditioning for performing arts conservatoires. The ability to reference live works is an integral part of performance and we were once again delighted to be able to provide another unique learning opportunity for our young people.

As usual our lower school students were impeccably behaved (something which has now become synonymous with Enter CIC).  We were very proud of them all.

After the show many of our students asked questions about the use of set, or began to make suggestions about how things they had observed could be utilised in some of our performances. Even the youngest child referenced the libretto and asked “What is time no longer”?
It was clear to see that the production had prompted many questions and that our students had formed an array of opinions about the production they had observed. I think it’s safe to say that many of them showed that they had the makings of successful theatre critics.

A new adventure and experience not forgetting the fun of the journey to and from the event!
