As the Covid-19 pandemic took hold, Enter CIC, like most organisations has had to temporarily close our physical building and stop face to face sessions. This is the first time our doors have been closed since our inception ten years ago!
However, our team are well known for their creative solutions and we all decided that we couldn’t allow Covid-19 to interfere with the crucial support we offer to young people and our community, so we decided that some of our services would just have to go online. Not only online, but that we would build, from scratch, a digital arts academy where young people could have access to an array of performing arts activities and projects throughout the lockdown period.
Our team volunteered their time and within two weeks we had created a resource like no other, which we now call the Enter Arts Academy. Our students are able to access this resource 24/7 and it has been designed to complement our online live sessions. Many of our students are now completing performing arts qualifications online and we are very proud of their tenacity and sense of willingness to adapt and embrace new ways of learning.
There have been challenges along the way and just like most organisations we are constantly working hard to source new forms of income to ensure that we can continue to adapt to this unprecedented situation and to ensure that this new wonderful online resource can continue to grow and provide unique learning opportunities for everyone.
A huge thanks needs to go to our team who demonstrate every day what dedication, creativity and hard work can produce. This is a new adventure and we are looking forward to the new opportunities it provides.
