Arts Award Success

Enter CIC encourage our students to gain nationally recognised accreditation in performing arts subjects.  This week many of our students have been gained their Arts Award Certificates. All of the students participating in the programme have worked so hard and are truly delighted with their results. BTEC, GCSE and A-Level Accreditation

Enter CIC is a very unique performing arts organisation. As many of you are aware, we are already approved as an examination centre with a number of performing arts examination boards. However, we are now truly delighted to be able to announce that Enter CIC, is now approved (in our right) to deliver GCSE and A level subjects much in the same way as a school/college. Lessons from the Past

On Wednesday Beamish Museum visited the Enter Centre and our students participated in a heritage workshop which focused on employment in the mines, different types of jobs and regional folk song. Our students really enjoyed the workshop and engaged in every activity with energy and commitment. Heritage for future generations

On June 20th 2017, we commenced our When Yesterday Was Young project. This is a fabulous heritage project funded by the Heritage Lottery. Our WYWY committee and students have been non-stop over the past week visiting the National Coal Mining Museum for England (Wakefield), Durham Mining Museum (Spennymoor), and Beamish Museum. They have been interviewing curators, keepers of industry, education officers and working with archivists from an array of establishments to collate facts and figures which will be utilised to develop performance ideas for our unique community heritage museum which…

Framwellgate Sharing

The Enter CIC team have been working at Framwellgate School on a performing arts project. Our staff members have had such a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed working with all of the students. On Tuesday 15th November 2016, we held an informal sharing to celebrate the students’ achievements and their wonderful talents. The evening showcased over 50 students who all had an important role to play in the evening’s entertainment.
