On March 5th 2019, Enter CIC performed with Collabro at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
Collabro are the world’s most successful musical theatre group, hailing from the UK. They have performed across the globe to standing ovations, from the US, Japan and Canada. The Britain’s Got Talent winners have had a number 3 top ten albums, three sell-out tours with the fourth and biggest ever tour set for 2019.
In 2018, Collabro launched a large-scale audition process covering the whole of the United Kingdom and their sole aim was to find the best youth choirs from across the country who would be invited to perform with them on their latest tour entitled ‘Road to the Albert Hall’. Enter CIC beat thousands of hopeful young choirs and were personally chosen by the four Collabro members and invited to perform on the Road to the Albert Hall tour 2019.
Our young people certainly did enjoy the event and found themselves sharing the stage with a host of stars including Collabro members Matt, Tom, Jamie and Michaelland also Kerry Ellis who is frequently referred to as the leading lady of the West End.
Our young people took to the stage with aplomb and sang Electricity from the well-known musical Billy Elliot (which came naturally, as many of our young people are direct descendents of Durham miners) and the rock ballad Faithfully which was originally sung by the band Journey. In addition, our young people sang a little impromptu number and the audience were thrilled at their effortless and beautiful vocals and even more so because they performed acapella which showcased their true raw talent.
Our team are extremely proud of our talented young people and we have received such lovely feedback following the event. Not only were they noticed for their talent, but also for their beautiful manner and etiquette.
