Our Gaiety events are designed to bring high quality live theatre to our local community. The events are funded by our local Four Together AAP and Enter CIC directly. These events specifically cater for people over the age of 60 years living in the Four Together Partnership area (AAP).
The Gaiety Afternoon events take place once a month at The Enter Centre. Our team have lots of fun programming events in our theatre for our mature community and we work very hard to ensure we provide a balanced, high quality live entertainment programme, reminiscent of the golden age of live entertainment, music hall and concerts, with live theatre, dance bands, folk artists and cinema.
The Gaiety Afternoon is extremely popular and it is always sold out. Our audiences have been whisked back to the 1920’s tea rooms with live entertainment from London dance bands, West End Jersey Boys, The Beatles, Mike Tickell and more.
Every one of our staff and volunteers works hard to transform our centre into everything from an American diner, to the Liverpool Cavern and from a top 20’s nightclub to a bygone cabaret club.
Naturally, all their hard work is appreciated as every one of our patrons comments on the beautiful decorations and tasty food and refreshments. The gaiety afternoons are designed to provide first class live entertainment for anyone over 60 years of age.
Each performance happens during the Spring and Summer months when there’s always a dancing mood in the air.
Right from the moment you walk into the gates of The Enter Centre, our working theatre, everyone gets a warm welcome with a friendly face and a cheerful chat.
Gaiety events are open to anyone over the age of 60 years young living in the Four Together AAP area. There is a small charge to cover sone costs, but these funds go right back into providing services for young people.
Young people in our Upper School are at the heart of the Gaiety events, They help out in the distribution of refreshments and in keeping our guests, those who have given to our community over many years, entertained and in high spirits. It really is a case of the future citizens in our community giving something back to those who have built our community.
