On 25th November students from Enter were invited to the opening of the One Point Hub in Chester-Le-Street. A few of Enters students performed a couple of songs including Enters hit song ‘Tell Me What Its Like, A Soldiers Tale’.
Over the Wire was a Heritage Lottery Fund funded project which took us from small village halls, commemoration events, to Durham Cathedral and even The Menin Gate in the Ypres Salient, Belgium. It was a unique opportunity to give the community a taste of the suffering, sacrifice and joys of how ordinary people coped with life during warfare.

'Over the Wire' was a phrase soldiers in the First World War used to denote leaving the trench and going over the barbed wire to face the enemy. It was the threshold from moderate safety to almost certain death.
