On Saturday 7th December 2013 Enter CIC were welcomed into Etherley Methodist Church the evening was opened by Stanhope Brass Band playing a collection of well known songs. The room was filled with sounds through the decades.
At 8.30pm our Upper School students took to the performance arena where there was excited chatter about what they were about to experience. The room fell silent as they performed an abridged version of the upcoming show ‘Christmas spirit’. The air was filled with festive cheer as they sang traditional Christmas carols. The performance ended with our finale number The Light Shines On from The Wind Road Boys which brought the congregation to their feet and a tear to the eye.
Performing for communities is an integral part of Enter CIC and it is with these performances that we can engage and give something back to communities around South County Durham. We would like to thank the congregation for inviting us to join in with their festive celebrations.
