Enter CIC is participating in the Festival of Remembrance Concert on Saturday 11th November 2017 at Durham Cathedral. We are delighted to have been invited to perform in this emotional, commemorative event. We have chosen to performing extracts from our own musical entitled, Home Fires with music and lyrics by North-East writer and composer, Paul Flynn.
On Tuesday 17th October 2017 some of our cast members attended Durham Cathedral to participate in the media release for the event. Our cast performed beautifully for a number of TV stations, broadcasters and photographers. Our performance was televised and excerpts from the performance were broadcast that night on BBC Look North.
There is a famous saying which comments on the brave efforts of those people who fought in the wars which states: “All gave some; some gave all”. We can guarantee that on the evening of the 11th November 2017, when our students take to the stage at Durham Cathedral, singing some of the deeply emotional songs from Home Fires, they will give everything. Their performance will truly honours those who lost their lives during conflict and those who continue to protect liberties around the world.
Please see below images taken at the media event and some stories which hit the local press the next day.
