In 1997 she co-founded Dance In Education Services, a company formed to create educational Dance resources to the compulsory and non-compulsory education sectors. She quickly established the company as a leader in the field of dance resources and teacher training. The company became the first port of call for education authorities across the UK. This level of success led to the formation of a publishing company which produced an array of dance resources including the international best seller ‘Dance G.C.S.Easy’.

Andrea has written numerous publications for an array of professional dance companies. She has received numerous commissions from national dance and sport agencies to create resources or lead national training programmes to create tomorrow’s dance and sport leaders. She has provided consultancy to schools and dance companies to support them in obtaining specialist arts status, establish training academies for young professional dancers and CPD for teachers.

Her resources are sold nationally and internationally and her teaching has helped to pave the way for dance resource development in the UK and beyond. Resources today owe much to Andrea’s pioneering work in prescriptive teaching and these resources are creating a new wave of academic and professional dance teachers that understand the core principles of educational dance. Look in any online or offline dance teaching resource written in the last 15 years and you will see Andrea’s influence.

Andrea has been presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her contribution to regional, cultural Dance events. She has coordinated international events including developing and coordinating dance programmes and large scale international projects.

Andrea is highly respected in both the professional performance industry and educational fields. Throughout her career she has managed to successfully combine both worlds and in so doing has created countless opportunities for both professional performers and young people. Andrea has trained countless TV and West End stars and continues to inspire performers, businesses and education institutions through her inspirational guest speaking.

Andrea is just as passionate about creating opportunities now as she was when she began her journey. Her aim is to create opportunities for all and this can be seen by the countless number of professionals working in successful arts fields, inspired and guided by her teaching, passion and commitment to the highest standards.
