UpperschoolIt is vitally important that all of our staff are aware of anything that may cause young people in our area concern, or may impact their performance. We have started to work with the local police force to ensure that we are up to date with any local policing issues. In this way we can also link into new police initiatives. We are delighted to say that on the 9th November 2011 members from the local police force will be visiting one of our sessions to provide all of the students in our upper school with ID4U cards. This is a fantastic initiative from The Safe Durham Partnership – Altogether Safer and is a nationally accredited card. The ID4U card is a voluntary proof of age scheme that allows young people to prove their age for goods and services and helps young people who may look younger than their age.
