northernacchordnewsOur young people were joined on stage by Northern Acchord (also known as Tees Valley Barbershop Harmony Club formed in 2003) for The Wind Road Boys production. We would like to thank Northern Acchord for giving us their time for the show.

The founder members of this club were five members of Spirit of Harmony who regularly travelled south each Thursday from Teesside to West Yorkshire to engage in barbershop singing workshops, but rather than continue doing this, in 2003 they decided to set up a local club and T.V.B.H.C. was formed.

The club is committed to the promotion, performance and education in singing in the Barbershop style. The group regularly competes in singing conventions which results in them travelling the length and breadth of the country. The group regularly run Learn to Sing courses which has seen their group go from 12 members to 41 in a short period of time.

It has been a delight for our young people to work with the members of Northern Acchord and we hope to be able to continue developing our relationship with the group long into the future.
