We are delighted to announce another performance opportunity for Enter CIC at Beamish Museum. After our very successful performances at Beamish’s Christmas celebrations the museum approached us and asked us to be involved with their Old King Coal Festival on Sunday 21st April 2013. The Old King Coal festival is part of the Great North Festival of Transport, marking the 100th anniversary of peak coal production in the region. From banner parades to brass bands, there’s lots going on as the museum celebrates the North East’s mining heritage.
We will be performing extracts from The Wind Road Boys. Enter CIC have also been asked to lead the parade through the streets of Beamish. In addition we will be performing some scenes from The Wind Road Boys in the cottages and school rooms. The day will feature an array of brass bands and a whole host of activities celebrating our North East mining heritage. We are very much looking forward to this event and to further developing our relationship with Beamish Museum, this also provides us with an opportunity to promote our professional production of The Wind Road Boys being staged at the Gala Theatre, Durham on the 11th and 12th June 2013.
