Sage Live Recording

28th April 2014

On Saturday 26th April 2014 we took our students to the fantastic Sage Gateshead to do a live recording of The Wind Road Boys music. The stunning performing arts centre provides world class facilities for all genres of music and has welcomed many well-known musical acts since its opening in 2004.

When we got to the venue we were taken in through the stage door straight to Hall One. The gasp from the students said it all as they entered the phenomenal auditorium. It was a truly inspirational space in such an iconic building.

Our young people couldn’t wait to get started and immediately took to the stage. As soon as we heard the first song being played we knew that this was going to be a very special day. Once again our students adopted an extremely professional attitude and provided a fantastic sound that filled the auditorium.

It was simply amazing to be able to provide this type of opportunity for our students.

The feedback we received from Sage staff regarding our students was exceptional.

The Wind Road Boys musical will be returning to the stage in August. We are taking the show on tour to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This is the biggest arts festival in the world and we are really looking forward to it. For more information about The Wind Road Boys click here. For tickets to the Fringe shows, please click here.

‘I felt the behaviour of the young people throughout the recording was impeccable and it was really amazing to see how dedicated and engaged they were with the whole experience, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer group to work with’

Richard, Sound Engineer, Sage Gateshead.
