Enter CIC were delighted to be invited to open the Durham Shopping Extravaganza 2014 event at Ramside Hall on Wednesday 8th October 2014. The venue was jam packed with unique and beautiful stalls all set to delight the shoppers senses. As if that wasn’t enough the beautiful aromatic smells coming from the marquee tempted shoppers to try and then buy different coffees and foods. We are quite sure that for many this event was a shoppers paradise.
The Durham Shopping Extravaganza is a yearly event which not only provides people of the North East with opportunities to purchase beautiful and unique items, but also raises funds for worthy causes. This year Enter CIC were delighted to be informed that we had been been selected as one of the not for profit organisations which would receive donations

from the event. In addition to Enter CIC two other charities had also been selected to receive funds from the event. During the day all of the charities had a chance to talk to one another and to find out how each one supports local communities and people in need. It was wonderful to be able to swap stories and hear about how people have been impacted by each organisations work.
Enter CIC were also delighted to be invited to open the event. As the crowds gathered they were serenaded by Ben Richardson (one of our Upper School students) who sang an extract from our musical entitled ‘The Wind Road Boys’. As Ben finished the song he received a rapturous round of applause and fantastic feedback from the crowds as they entered Ramside Hall.
‘A very confident performance, wonderful voice and a charming young man. I wish him well’
‘Ben how fab are you! Excellent singer really enjoyed him. Thank you‘
A wonderful day was had by all and we would like to extend our gratitude to the event organisers for inviting Enter CIC to be part of such a wonderful day and occasion.
