Enter CIC has become know as a positive enabler across Durham and the North East. We specialise in programmes that raise aspiration, combat social isolation, improve mental and physical wellbeing as well as developing volunteering and employment skills. We have won awards for our work with elderly communities.
On Wednesday 9th May 2012 we held an open evening at Broom Cottages Primary School. The evening was an informal sharing of the young people’s work. It provided an opportunity for the students to practice their exam pieces and enabled parents and the community to observe how their child is progressing. We were delighted to see how well attended the event was and would like to say thank you to everyone who attended the event. We were also delighted to welcome the Chief Executive from County Durham Foundation to the event who appeared to thoroughly enjoy the event.
“I could see that there was a wide range of young people performing from different backgrounds and abilities and their achievements were most inspiring. You are obviously providing a very well run and much-needed service and it is good for me to see how grants make a difference to local communities. It was also encouraging to see so many families in attendance”

We were also delighted thanks to the kind donations of the audience to raise £62.59 which will be put towards our fundraising for the Sunderland Empire show.
If you didn’t manage to catch the event don’t worry as we will be running a number of similar events throughout the year.
