Well its been a wonderful summer and to say Enter CIC have been busy is a huge understatement!
During July and August 2016 Enter CIC once again toured their magnificent production entitled The Wind Road Boys (which celebrates the coal mining industry and related traditions) across the North East of England. The tour traveled to many theatres including Hartlepool Town Hall, Phoenix Theatre (Blyth), The Sage (Gateshead), Stanley Civic Hall, Woodhorn Museum. In addition to staging the production at traditional theatres, Enter CIC also remained true to their commitment to developing new audiences for arts (and connecting with local communities) and Enter also showcased excerpts from the production in less traditional environments such as Mecca Bingo Halls, shopping centres and Sherburn Village Hall.
As always the production had a huge impact on everyone who was lucky enough to witness one of the performances. Those who were lucky enough to get a ticket were taken on a roller coaster of emotions and at the end of the performances the cast received standing ovations.
All of the cast thoroughly enjoyed performing at all of the beautiful (and very varied) performance venues. The Wind Road Boys is a unique piece of theatre with beautiful soaring anthemic musical numbers. If you haven’t seen it, make sure you don’t miss it next time it tours!

The Wind Road Boys was absolutely outstanding. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so impressed with the singing, acting, dancing , choreography, use of film etc. And the play itself worked so well. A wonderful show. It was truly memorable and inspiring.

Just returned from a break in London. I have seen many West End shows, but this musical equals all of those shows. I am deeply moved. Well done and thank you to all without exception, you’re amazing!

Congratulations on a wonderful show. All characters beautifully portrayed. Having grown up in a mining town and now at the age of 84 years I can well recall the reality. Extremely moving and when the banners were in the background I cried!
What a fantastic show fabulous singers with great energy. We saw you sing on the Sage concourse a few weeks ago during our break from rehearsals and thought we must come and see you guys. Fab, Fab, Fab!
