Our next project will be a new performance work entitled ‘The Young Persons Guide to The Lindisfarne Gospels’ which will be performed at Durham Cathedral on Saturday 14th September 2013. This is a very exciting performance project featuring 200 young people from our local community and across County Durham. We are also including a number of schools in the project. In May 2013, Enter CIC staff attended a meeting at the Cathedral to finalise arrangements. As they were shown around the historic landmark they quickly realised that this was going to be a very special event and one our young people and production team will cherish forever.
This special performance will be dedicated to the famous Lindisfarne Gospels. Our production team will once again be writing and producing music to showcase our students in a brand new musical performance. The Lindisfarne Gospels are currently the focus of a North East celebration examining the region’s creative, artistic and spiritual heritage.
We are delighted to be performing in what has been described as the greatest Norman building in England, perhaps even in Europe. The cathedral is cherished not only for its architecture but also for its incomparable setting in the heart of Durham.
