2022

2022 was an amazing year. We saw the great international celebrations of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum celebrations, as well as her sad passing. Enter completed 13 major projects (as well as a whole host of minor projects and our ongoing education and examination work) and there was a great deal of community spirit for all.

Platinum Jubilee Lieutenancy Video

February, 2022

Enter CIC was commissioned by the Mrs Sue Snowdon, Lord Lieutenant of County Durham to create a video for the Durham Lieutenancy to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee and 70 year reign. We did and the video was shared across the County to be played at all Jubilee celebrations.

It was played in public offices, community centres, museums across our wonderful county. It was also sent to Buckingham Palace. This was a wonderful project and our company was thrilled to be asked to produce a video to mark such a historical and wonderful occasion.

A Royal Night Out.

May, 2022

A free immersive cinema event for the over 60s with light refreshments and popcorn in a traditional 1940’s cinema setting! Our in house set design team worked their magic and transformed our centre into an environment from yesteryear. This event formed part of our Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

A lovely community occasion providing a platform for local elderly participants to come together reminisce and regale one another of their stories (many of which related to memories of the Queen's Coronation).

Participants enjoyed free refreshments (including 1940's sweets) and were able to sit back and enjoy the film entitled, "A Royal Night Out' which told the true story of VE night when the Queen and Princess Margaret were granted permission to leave the palace to join the party on the streets of London.

We sometimes see elderly people struggling and needing to sit down after shopping in the village. Our gates remained open for the community all day on event days.

Nearly 30 separate and distinct events happened over the six to eight month project. It engaged over 400 elderly people, 20 volunteers and a wide range of local musicians, activity leaders and artists.

Our team worked with over 150 Sunderland primary school children to devise a special community performance, which was a great success. The event raised £100,000 for the Foundation of Light and our cast of school children were a highlight of the evening.

It was fabulous to play a part in the Remaking Beamish project which is the biggest development in Beamish’s history.

Easter Parade

April, 2022

Easter Parade was a marvellous immersive Easter event for young children. A splash of art and a pinch of creative costumes as well as a sprinkle of catwalk creativity…not forgetting the healthy snacks!

Hundreds of children (and parents) attended this free community event and it was a true delight to sprinkle a little Easter magic across our community. All young participants had the opportunity of working with our professional artists and many innovative creations were designed and taken home.

Children received numerous gifts, food packages and of course a delicious Easter egg!

The Snowman and Friends.

This Christmas event brought a festive smile to everyone’s face. Thanks to funding from DCC HAHF and the Four Together Area Action Partnership we offered this Christmas event free to families with children on free school meals residing in Ferryhill, Chilton, West Cornforth and Bishop Middleham.

This event helped to entertain and feed over 100 local children at the most vulnerable time of year for families. Each child left with a mini hamper and a gift from Santa.
